Hi,
Check this out: I'm in the final stretch of my 5-week book tour, and it’s been an incredible journey!
It all kicked off with a question I asked myself—"What would make this trip a peak experience?"
It took a few days for the answer to drop, but when it did, it set the tone for the whole trip: to be fully present in the NOW.
A lot of what I love—coaching, endurance sports, writing, meditation—has taught me the power of presence.
However, I realized I could still use more practice.
So, I decided to lean into conscious breathing as my go-to tool to stay grounded and present in each moment.
I didn't let any moment slip by unnoticed. Every conversation, every handshake, every fleeting glance from a loved one, and every sunrise—I soaked it all in.
I allowed myself to truly be in the now, not to rush past experiences but to let them sink in fully.
The irony is that the more present I became, the more time seemed to stretch.
The deeper I connected with those around me, the richer the journey.
Moments that could’ve been forgotten turned into lasting memories, and that's the magic of presence.
It transformed this book tour from a series of events into a living, breathing adventure.
My heart is full.
Here are some Inner Game perspectives to consider this week
1 question from me
What are the biggest wastes of time for novices in your field?
2 insights from me
1 - Your self-esteem hinges on your actions—avoid moral slips, as they’ll erode your self-respect and linger in your psyche.
2 - Our level of success will never exceed our level of self-awareness.
3 quotes
"One roadblock almost never ruins you.
There might not be 1000 ways to accomplish something, but there is almost always more than one way.
Know what you want. Be flexible about how to get there."
- James Clear
“A year from now you will wish you had started today.”
- Karen Lamb
"I think of the trees and how simply they let go, let fall the riches of a season, how without grief (it seems) they can let go and go deep into their roots for renewal and sleep...
Imitate the trees. Learn to lose in order to recover, and remember that nothing stays the same for long, not even pain, psychic pain. Sit it out. Let it all pass. Let it go."
- Mary Sarton on letting go
5 Brutal Truths I will share with my kids when they turn 16
It’s About Drive, Not Time: If you really want it, you’ll find a way.
Talk Less, Do More: Action is what matters—no one’s doing it for you.
Results > Effort: Don’t just try hard, do what’s necessary.
Consistency Beats Genius: Be the person people can count on.
Live the Life You Want: Act like the person you want to become, and success will follow.
What's new with the Pod - Emergence Now
"You're almost never in a situation where you can't take the next step."
Why getting away with "it" will cost you
Avoid doing wrong things, not because you won’t get away with it, but because you probably will get away with it.
Here’s what happens, in the long term, it’s gonna hurt you.
Not just in a karmic kind of way, look, deep down, you know who you are.
Those moral slips are written into our psyche, and we’re acutely aware of them.
If you accumulate too many of these lapses, you’ll lose respect for yourself.
The worst outcome is not having self-esteem, be careful about doing things you won’t be proud of because they will damage you.
The real kicker?
Your self-esteem and confidence take a hit.
Funny how the things we’re not proud of tend to linger, messing with how we see ourselves.
How you see and feel about yourself is the only thing that matters, nurture it!
Great analogy - decisions are like hats, haircuts, and tattoos
