Was this newsletter forwarded to you?
Hi,
I'm often asked, why I put out this weekly newsletter.
The answer is simple, 'words of affirmation' is my love language.
But it's more than that. It's my way of sharing insights that have shaped my journey, hoping they might illuminate your path too.
Each edition is a bridge connecting our experiences, a ripple of positivity and empowerment.
This newsletter is my commitment to you - to share authentically, challenge lovingly, and inspire relentlessly.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
Let's dive in!
Here are some Inner Game perspectives to consider this week
1 question from me
What are the biggest wastes of time for novices in your field?
2 insights from me
1 - As humans, we can be really tough on ourselves.
Be your toughest critic only if you are your greatest ally.
2 - Our level of success will never exceed our level of self-awareness.
3 quotes
"Do one thing every day that scares you."
- Eleanor Roosevelt
"The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek."
- Joseph Campbell
"Everything you want is on the other side of fear."
- Jack Canfield
One of many inspiring stories to come out of the Paris Olympics
Lifting people is the ultimate flex! 💪🏼
So, get this - Jordan Chiles was about to throw in the towel on gymnastics.
Year after year, she kept getting passed over for the big stuff because she wasn't consistent enough.
The whole scene was toxic, and the people in gymnastics had pretty much written her off.
But then Simone steps in like a boss and says, "I see you, Queen."
In 2019, Simone invited Jordan to pack up and move from Washington to Texas to join her gym.
Here's the kicker: when Jordan shows up, they don't jump (pardon the pun) straight into fancy flips and tricks. Nope, they focus on boosting her confidence first.
Genius!
Fast forward two years, and boom! Simone and Jordan are Olympic-bound together.
Now that's what we call lifting as you climb.
If you missed the action, they both clinched gold harware! 🥇
One of the most iconic brands of our generation
One of my favorite books is Shoe Dog by Phil Knight where he recounts the incredible story of how he founded Nike.
I decided to re-read it recently. It's a different book every time!
Here are FIVE of the most important takeaways from Shoe Dog:
1. You’re never ready, but start anyway! Knight didn’t have all the answers when he started Nike. He just knew that he wanted to create a better running shoe. He took a gigantic leap of faith and started his business with very little money and no experience.
2. Never, ever, give up. Knight faced many challenges along the way, but he never gave up on his dream.
3. Find your passion. Knight was passionate about running, and this passion drove him to succeed. When you’re passionate about something, it’s easier to overcome challenges and stay motivated.
4. Bet on yourself! Knight took many risks in his business, but they paid off. Because he truly believed in himself and his ideas, even when others doubted him.
5. Team, team team! Build a strong team. Knight surrounded himself with talented people who shared his vision. His team was essential to the success of Nike.
If you haven't read this book, you're missing out big time!
What's new with the Pod - Emergence Now
"You're almost never in a situation where you can't take the next step."
The MOST surreal experience ever!
From late nights of self-doubt to seeing my book at #1 on Amazon - what a journey this has been!
Even more surreal is to find my work alongside my mentor and those who have inspired me, Dr. Joe Dispenza, David Goggins, and Tony Robbins, whose wisdom lit the path when the road seemed dark.
Their wisdom and mindset have been instrumental in my journey, and I’m super lucky to have the opportunity to contribute to the field they’ve shaped.
Wait, wanna see the moment of discovery? Well, sort of - check it out!
