BUSY is the new STUPID

Hello hello,

Have you ever wondered what holds Entrepreneurs back once they have experienced a failure?

At the bottom of this email, I have a short clip from an interview where I unpack the challenge that holds back most entrepreneurs from making a comeback!

“Busy is the new stupid”

-Warren Buffet

As entrepreneurs, we know how to be “busy”.

There is this unspoken rule among entrepreneurs, it’s this idea that we need to be busy.

There are a lot of people who advocate hustling and working incredible hours.

There are organizations, that will design an incredibly long shift to test the resilience of their new employees to gauge their propensity for working extremely long hours.

I know this first hand as I worked for such a company where I worked for more than 36 hours as a consultant.

Back to entrepreneurship, I have yet to meet an entrepreneur who has built a Successful Company that hasn't worked their rear end off.

The fact is, most Entrepreneurs exert enormous effort...

But here’s the thing: Not All Effort Is Equal.

I think of productivity in terms of the Pareto Principle, 20% of the effort will yield 80% of our results.

However, when you think of your P&L, no, not your Profit and Loss.

I'm referring to the other P&L - Productivity and Leverage.

PRODUCTIVITY is all about 'Maximum Results; Least amount of Time' When you think of LEVERAGE, it's all about 'Maximum Results; Least amount of Effort'

When you run your Business and Life with Maximum Productivity and Maximum Leverage, you may not have to grind all day.

You could invest 30, 20, or even 10 minutes on focused, high leverage, highly productive action ("smart work”), and it could be worth a MONTH of “grind”.

Having a P&L mindset and frame can help you avoid many traps Entrepreneurs unwittingly fall into.

Remember: You only need a few tools in your toolbox to build, maintain, and grow a successful business.

I'm rooting for you to have even more success!
