1-2-3 Inner Game

I'm within 5 weeks of my second Ironman race.

For the first race, I was optimizing for performance, to do it as fast as I could, and considering the weather was unforgiving (torrential wind and rain) on race day, I accomplished performance in spades.

I was very proud of that race.  However, it came at a cost, training for the first race involved many sacrifices from family, work, hobbies, etc.

This time, I'm optimizing for balance, I wanted to prove to myself that I can train for a demanding endurance event and still balance all other facets of my life, oh, did I mention I'm learning the guitar? :-)

I am wishing you a fantastic week ahead!

Here are some Inner Game perspectives to consider this week:

1 question from me…..

What is something you believe that other people think is insane?

2 insights from me...

Do fewer things for more effect instead of doing more things with side effects.

I'm trying to find ways to spend less time on my phone. Recently, I changed my phone display to greyscale, and in the last week, my screen time is half of what it was.

3 extracts from my journal this week...

I may have not gotten insanely better, but I haven’t stopped. Sometimes it's about not stopping.

Pranayama increases the strength of respiratory muscles and improves respiratory endurance in young adults. If you've never tried this ancient breathing practice you can learn here.

When people say "you've changed," they often mean "you've grown," but might not know how to express it.

New podcast episode:

Our most recent episode hit the highest download in 24 hours since we launched the pod last year, this topic is resonating with many. Don't forget to rate and review, thanks in advance.

I'm rooting for you to have even more success.
